Legalize Professional License / Practising Certificate for use in United States

The Professional License / Practising Certificate is a legal document issued by a Thai authority. When presented in United States, the receiving officer needs proof that both the document and the signing officer's seal are authentic. This process is called legalization — not just translation, but a chain of seals, signatures and consular attestation.

For United States: the file must pass through the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand. Then it must be stamped at the Embassy of United States in Bangkok. We re-check destination requirements every two weeks to stay ahead of policy changes.

Step 1 — Source document: the Professional License / Practising Certificate must be an original issued within 1 year. Photocopies must be re-certified at the district office.

Caveat: Covers Medical Council of Thailand (พ.ท.), Nursing Council, Council of Engineers, Lawyers Council certificates. Issuing council seal must be visible on scans. In addition, some authorities in United States may request supporting documents such as a Power of Attorney notarized by a Notary Public.
