Why a Degree Certificate must be legalized before use in Republic of the Congo
The Degree Certificate is a academic document issued by a Thai authority. When presented in Republic of the Congo, the receiving officer needs proof that both the document and the signing officer's seal are authentic. This process is called legalization — not just translation, but a chain of seals, signatures and consular attestation.
For Republic of the Congo: the file must pass through the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand. An embassy step may not be required if the destination accepts MFA-only or Apostille. We re-check destination requirements every two weeks to stay ahead of policy changes.
