1. Acceptance of Terms
By engaging NYC Legal & Notary Service Co., Ltd. ("NYC Legal") you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use our services.
2. Scope of Services
- Translation of legal, government and business documents in 50+ languages
- Certification by a Notarial Services Attorney under Lawyers Council of Thailand regulations
- Certification by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and embassies (legalization / apostille)
- Visa filing support and immigration document services
- Document pick-up and delivery, and legal consultation
3. Quotations and Payment
- Quotations are valid for 7 days from the date of issue
- A 50% deposit is payable before work starts; the balance is due before documents are released
- Quoted service fees exclude government fees, embassy fees and EMS/Grab delivery charges
- Payment by bank transfer, PromptPay, credit card (3% processing fee) or cash at our office
- A full tax invoice and receipt is issued for every transaction
- Fees depend on document type, language pair and urgency — contact us by phone, LINE or email for a written quotation
4. Turnaround Times
Standard turnaround is 2–5 business days, express 1–2 business days, and same-day service is available for standard documents. Timelines for MFA and embassy certification depend on those authorities' own processing schedules, which are outside our control.
5. Translation Accuracy
We warrant accuracy to professional standards and correct translator errors free of charge. Clients are responsible for verifying names, addresses and dates before submitting documents. We are not liable for loss arising from incorrect information supplied by the client.
6. Limitation of Liability
- Our maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific matter concerned
- We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit or lost business opportunity
- Force majeure events such as natural disaster, embassy closure or civil unrest are excluded
- Visa refusal by an embassy is not our fault unless it results from an error in our documents
7. Intellectual Property
Website content, logos and sample documents remain the property of NYC Legal. Delivered translations become the client's property upon full payment. We reserve rights in our templates and proprietary translation methodology.
8. Confidentiality
All staff are bound by NDA and will not disclose client information to third parties except with consent or under a court order. See our Privacy Policy for details.
9. Cancellation
- Cancellation before work starts — deposit refunded in full, less a THB 200 transfer fee
- Cancellation after work has started — charged pro rata for work completed
- After delivery — no refund
- We reserve the right to decline work that is unlawful or contrary to public morals
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Thai law. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Khon Kaen District Court or the South Bangkok Civil Court. Both parties agree to attempt mediation before filing a claim.
