When does the Apostille Convention take effect for Thailand and how do I legalize Thai documents now?
Thailand deposited its instrument of accession on 30 June 2026 and the Apostille Convention enters into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027. Until that date Thai documents still need the classic chain: certified translation, authentication by the Department of Consular Affairs, then legalization at the destination country's embassy in Bangkok.
