2 ปีแรก: ~75,000 approvals · rejection rate ~12% (proof of funds insufficient, suspicious employment) · เฉลี่ย processing 8-15 วันทำการ
Eligible categories ปี 2026 (ปรับ ม.ค. 2026)
3 categories หลัก:
- A) Workation — remote worker, freelancer, digital nomad ต้องมี employment contract/portfolio ต่างประเทศ
- B) Thai Soft Power — Muay Thai training, Thai massage course, Thai cooking class, sports, music — ต้อง enrollment letter จาก accredited school
- C) Medical Treatment — ผู้ป่วย + caregiver — ต้องมี hospital appointment letter (JCI accredited)
- (ยกเลิก) Spouse/dependent category รวมเข้า Family DTV ใหม่
Proof of funds อัปเดต 2026
เกณฑ์ใหม่ ม.ค. 2026: bank statement 6 เดือนล่าสุด · balance ≥ ฿500,000 หรือ equivalent ใน foreign currency ตลอด 3 เดือนสุดท้าย
เดิม: ‘evidence of financial means’ — ตีความหลากหลาย rejection สูง · ใหม่: clear threshold ลด ambiguity
Alternative: investment portfolio statement (stocks, bonds, real estate ≥ ฿500K equivalent) · cryptocurrency บางครั้งไม่รับ ต้อง liquidate
Tax residency implication
Royal Decree No. 743/2566 (Sep 2023) เปลี่ยน rule: เงินได้ต่างประเทศที่ Thai tax resident นำเข้าไทยปีใดก็ตามต้องเสียภาษี (ยกเลิก deferral rule เดิม)
DTV holder อยู่ ≥ 180 วัน/ปีปฏิทิน = Thai tax resident · ต้องยื่น ภงด.91 บนเงินได้ทั่วโลกที่นำเข้า
DTA (Double Tax Agreement) 60+ ประเทศ — credit method · ตัวอย่าง: นาย A อเมริกัน wage USD 100K เสีย US tax 22% → Thai assess at 35% credit 22% = pay extra 13%
Strategy: keep stay < 180 วัน/ปี (non-resident) · หรือ structure income through non-remitted approach (post-2024 ใช้ไม่ได้แล้วโดยตรง)
Family DTV ใหม่
ก.พ. 2026: rule ใหม่อนุญาต legal spouse + children < 20 ปี ติดตาม principal DTV holder
เอกสาร: marriage certificate + birth certificate (Apostilled ถ้าออกต่างประเทศ) · proof of funds เพิ่ม ฿200K/dependent
Children ใช้ DTV เรียนได้แต่ระดับ informal/short course เท่านั้น · ถ้าจะเรียน full-time ต้องเปลี่ยน Non-ED visa
Common rejection reasons + แก้ยังไง
- Proof of funds ไม่ stable — fluctuation > 30% ใน 6 เดือน → consolidate ก่อนยื่น
- Employment letter ไม่ชัดเจน — บอกแค่ ‘consultant’ → ขอ letter ระบุ job duties + duration + remote work confirmation
- Activity ไม่ชัด — เลือก ‘Muay Thai’ แต่ไม่มี enrollment → enroll first จาก WMA accredited gym
- Previous overstay — กระทบ approval · ต้อง declare + ชำระค่าปรับก่อน
- Suspicious travel pattern — entry/exit ไทยถี่ก่อนหน้า → explain ใน cover letter
Conversion path DTV → other visas
DTV → LTR (Long-Term Resident): ถ้ารายได้ ≥ $80K/ปี 2 ปีติดต่อ + asset $1M → switch ได้ที่ BOI
DTV → Non-B + WP: ถ้าได้งานกับ Thai entity → ต้อง depart ไทย apply ใหม่ที่ embassy
DTV → Retirement: อายุ ≥ 50 + เงินฝาก ฿800K → in-country conversion ที่ Immigration Bureau
