Agency-Certified Translation differs from plain translation in one critical way: the accuracy of the translated text is verified and certified by an authority recognised under law or professional standards. This is what allows the destination office to accept the translation as official evidence.
Per Thai Civil Procedure Code §46 and MFA Document Authentication Regulations B.E. 2539 (1996) — registered translation agencies with in-house translators may issue Certification of Translation Accuracy for use with government offices.
