Emirati residents in Thailand for 6+ months are typically required by United Arab Emirates authorities to submit a "country of residence" police-clearance certificate â most commonly for Permanent Residency application in United Arab Emirates, Work-visa renewal or naturalisation in United Arab Emirates, Cross-border marriage registration in United Arab Emirates.
The Special Branch (Criminal Investigation Division, Royal Thai Police) is the only issuing authority for foreign residents; fingerprinting is mandatory for every application.
