FAQ
How is a Thai notary different from a Thai district officer (Amphoe)?
The Amphoe certifies copies only for domestic use inside Thailand. A notary produces a certificate accepted overseas and it is the required first step before the MFA / Apostille / destination-embassy chain.
Is the notarial certificate in English?
Every notarial certificate is bilingual TH/EN by default. CN/JP/KR/DE/FR/ES/AR/RU add-ons available on request.
Does the notary have to be specially registered?
Only lawyers registered as Notarial Services Attorneys with the Lawyers Council of Thailand may notarise. NYC Legal has six such attorneys on staff.
