Until that date, Thai public documents used abroad still require legalisation by the Department of Consular Affairs (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) followed by the destination country’s embassy or consulate. หลังประเทศไทยเข้าร่วม Hague Apostille Convention เต็มรูปแบบเมื่อ 31 ธันวาคม 2024 ผ่านมา 18 เดือน เอกสารกว่า 240,000 ฉบับได้รับการรับรองในระบบ Apostille ลดเวลาเฉลี่ยจาก 14 วันเหลือ 3 วันทำการ
กรมการกงสุล กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เผยข้อมูล ณ เดือนพฤษภาคม 2026 ว่าได้ออก Apostille รวมแล้วกว่า 240,000 ฉบับ ตั้งแต่วันที่ 31 ธันวาคม 2024 ที่อนุสัญญามีผลบังคับใช้ ระบบ e-Apostille ลดเวลาเฉลี่ยจาก 14 วัน (Embassy Legalization แบบเดิม) เหลือ 3 วันทำการ โดยเอกสารที่ใช้บ่อยสุดคือ หนังสือรับรองบริษัท (28%) ทรานสคริปต์การศึกษา (22%) และทะเบียนสมรส/หย่า (17%) NYC Legal สรุปบทเรียนสำคัญ 3 ข้อจากการให้บริการลูกค้ากว่า 8,400 ราย: (1) เอกสารต้องเป็น original หรือ certified true copy เท่านั้น — สำเนาเปล่าถูกปฏิเสธ 6% ของกรณี (2) ลายเซ็น Notarial Services Attorney ต้องตรงกับฐานข้อมูล Lawyers Council มิฉะนั้นถูกตีกลับ และ (3) ประเทศปลายทางที่ยังไม่ใช่สมาชิก เช่น UAE บางรัฐ จีน (Hong Kong/Macau ใช้ Apostille ได้) และเวียดนาม ยังต้อง Embassy Legalization ตามเดิม.
