If it concerns Thailand’s accession to the 1961 Hague Apostille Convention, the two dates that matter are: instrument of accession deposited 30 June 2026, entry into force for Thailand 28 February 2027. Until that date, Thai public documents used abroad still require legalisation by the Department of Consular Affairs (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) followed by the destination country’s embassy or consulate. U.S. Embassy Bangkok ปรับขั้นตอนรับรอง FBI Identity History Summary ให้ผู้ยื่นใช้ Apostille จากสหรัฐฯ แล้วยื่นต่อที่ MFA ไทยได้โดยตรง ไม่ต้องผ่านสถานทูตอีก
ตั้งแต่ 15 พฤษภาคม 2026 สถานเอกอัครราชทูตสหรัฐอเมริกาประจำกรุงเทพฯ ประกาศว่าเอกสาร FBI Identity History Summary (ที่ผ่าน Apostille โดย U.S. Department of State แล้ว) สามารถนำมาใช้ในประเทศไทยได้โดยตรงโดยไม่ต้องผ่าน Embassy Authentication อีก เนื่องจากทั้งสหรัฐฯ และไทยเป็นสมาชิก Hague Apostille Convention. ผู้ยื่นเพียงนำเอกสารต้นฉบับ + Apostille มายื่นที่ MFA ไทยเพื่อ Counter-Authentication ก็เพียงพอ ลดขั้นตอนเดิมที่ต้องผ่าน 3 จุด (FBI → US State → US Embassy Bangkok) เหลือ 2 จุด NYC Legal มีบริการประสานงาน FBI Channeler ที่ได้รับอนุญาต พร้อมแปลรับรอง NAATI/MFA สำหรับใช้ในกระบวนการขอวีซ่าและการสมัครงานในประเทศไทย.
